1) Reading: Reading Literature (RL)
Read Closely to determine what the text says explicitly and to make logical inferences from it; cite specific textual evidence when writing or speaking to support conclusions drawn from text. (RL.1)

2) Reading: Reading Informational Text (RI)

3) Reading: Foundational Skills (RF)
Know and apply grade-level phonics and word analysis skills in decoding words. Use combined knowledge of all letter-sound correspondences, syllabication patterns, and morphology to read accurately unfamiliar multisyllabic words in context and out of context. (RF.3)
Read with sufficient accuracy and fluency to support comprehension. Read grade-level text with purpose and understanding. Read Grade-level prose and poetry orally with accuracy, appropriate rate, and expression on successive readings. Use context to confirm or self-correct word recognition and understanding, rereading as necessary. ( RF. 4)
4) Writing (W)
Write arguments to support claims in an analysis of substantive topics or texts using valid reasoning and relevant and sufficient evidence. ( W.1a-d)
Write informative/explanatory texts to examine and convey complex ideas and information clearly and accurately through the effective selection, organization, and analysis of content. ( W.2a-e)
